What to expect . . .

E-mail Print PDF

Being a newcomer at a church can feel a bit awkward.  Perhaps you wonder whether someone is going to ask you to slap a nametag on your shirt or be asked to stand up and introduce yourself to a room of strange people. This is not the case at BCC.  We value your presence and hope you greatly benefit from your worship experience with us.

  • A comfortable, casual atmosphere - BCC is a fairly casual church. You’ll see mostly slacks, some jeans and an occasional suit. In the summer, shorts and sandals are as common as ski jackets in the winter. We encourage everyone to dress in a modest manner that would honor Christ.
  • Real people pursuing Christ-likeness - The people at BCC are real and transparent.  We are all in the process of growing in knowledge and understanding of the Bible.  During our times together we are calling each other to greater Christ-like living and laboring for God’s greater glory.
  • A worship experience with a blend of music - In our celebration service we sing a blend of hymns and modern worship songs.  We use an enjoyable mix of keyboard, violin and guitar.
  • Messages from the Bible which are applicable to your daily life - There is a quiet spiritual depth in our celebration service which comes from a firm conviction concerning the authority of God’s Word in our lives and its practical application.
  • Care for babies/infants and children’s church for grade school students

Nursery/Infants: At BCC we strive to provide a clean, safe and nurturing environment for our precious little ones.  Our team of volunteers is eager to show God's love to your baby/infant through prayer and gentle loving care. We want you, the parent, to benefit from the service without worry. Our team is background checked, and we have a sign in and out system to keep your children safe.

Grade school: With a large gymnasium at our disposal, our children’s program is both educational and exciting for your children.  After worship with the adults, the children are dismissed for their own Bible teaching, crafts and fun!

Pastor's Heart

Wrath in a waiting room!

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness & wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them.    Romans 1:18-19

I am sitting in the waiting area of a Toyota dealership as I am writing this.  Every time I look up I see a different face—either an employee or a customer walking around a car.  Some are clearly happy and enjoying life, chatting and laughing.  Others are nervous and stressed about the amount their repair will cost (like me :) ).  “Complementary” food and drinks are provided to distract from the cost.  One employee looks sad—really sad and preoccupied.  It makes me wonder what just happened in his life.  Joy, sadness, laughter, tears, coffee, relaxing music, talking, working, good news and bad—this is life!  While the buzz of life is taking place around me, I am meditating on a passage from Romans in the Bible about God’s wrath.  Sobering stuff.
